Concept Design

The concept design is a fundamental and exciting period in the journey of any design project. Throughout this period, we allow our creative instincts to flourish as we grapple with the various thoughts, desires, and requirements that our Client presents to us and amalgamate them to create visual context of these ideas becoming a reality.

A critical element to the success of this process is communication. At JKT Architecture we pride ourselves on our ability to effectively listen, illustrate, inform and advise our Clients, as we work together to develop a proposal that works for you.

For further insight as to how we go about this process, follow the link below to an example of a concept booklet we produced for one of our recent domestic projects.

Concept Booklet

Our Client approached us with an relatively open brief of wanting to overhaul and renovate their existing bungalow. We tailored our design approach to provide our Client with various concept proposals, each of which endeavoured  to meet the requirements of the Client’s brief, whilst providing an array of design options ranging in terms of size, cost, layout, and architectural features.

As part of the completed booklet, we provided a mixture of 2D and 3D internal and external graphics, to help visualise the components of each individual option.

Once the booklet was issued to our Client, we encouraged them to explore the proposals and identify the elements of each option that they liked and disliked. We then sat down with our client and through various discussions, we moulded a design into a frozen scheme they were happy with.
