Our clients approached jkt Architecture with a clear vision - to transform their family home in Leeds into a space that truly reflected the way they lived. 

 

The existing property had great potential but was held back by an awkward central staircase and a series of disconnected rooms. The main entrance had fallen out of use and the garden, once intended as an extension of family life, felt completely detached. 

 

We set out to unlock the home’s hidden possibilities through modern architecture and design. By subtly reconfiguring the internal layout and adding a Modern House Extension, the ground floor was reimagined as a series of bright, open, and connected spaces that now flow seamlessly together. The once constrained house, has been transformed into a home filled with light, life, and connection - a home that finally feels complete. 

 

Externally, the House Extension in Leeds makes a confident yet sympathetic statement. Its contemporary form, refined materials, and bold geometry create a striking contrast to the traditional character of the original house. A corner of expansive glazing opens the home to the garden, drawing natural light deep inside and blurring the boundaries between indoors and out.
