jkt Architecture were commissioned to craft an exciting concept scheme for a bespoke, low-energy, new-build home on a greenfield site, in the rural setting of the peak district.
We started out by undertaking a thorough site analysis to identify the character of the local setting, including local architectural style and materials, as well as developing an understanding of the site orientation, highlighting elements such as key views and sun path direction and exposure.
Working closely with out clients we established a detailed design brief for their dream home, which was tailored to suit their retired lifestyle.
Following various design meetings and exploration, we were pleased to present a scheme for a stunning 4-bedroom home. Some of the most notable features include a double height entrance hallway, double garage carport with a garden potting room at the rear, split level, open-plan kitchen/living/dining area and a mezzanine library room with a cantilevered rear balcony overlooking the countryside views.
